Overview of Keynotes

The ACDM 2018 Annual Conference at the Radisson Blu, Brussels, Belgium is pleased to have two exciting keynote speakers joining us for this year’s conference in Brussels. Together they will motivate, inspire and challenge you, giving you confidence and vision to help build a successful Clinical Data Management future for your companies.

Jean-Luc Marsat recently joined AEC-Partners, a strategic consulting firm specialised in healthcare, where he leads assignments for pharmaceutical companies to optimize their R&D strategy and supports CROs in putting in place innovative projects.

Jean-Luc graduated as a bio-engineer from the ENSAIA and followed with an executive MBA from HEC Paris. He has worked in Clinical Research as Worldwide Managing Director of SGS Clinical Research, European Director of MDS Pharma Services and Strategy Consultant at Arthur D. Little. He has led international teams of up to 500 people.

Jean-Luc has established a solid international network within the pharmaceutical sector and with CRO companies, which he has leveraged to support private equity funds as a Senior Advisor.

As a keynote speaker, Jean-Luc will review the status of the life sciences industry today, the impact on sponsor-CRO relationships and on the day-to-day work of the data managers who are moving into new challenges. He will make you think, not only about the changes which pharmaceutical companies are facing and what impact it has on the industry overall, but also daily work of data managers.

He studied agro-biology and started his business life in 1980 at Bayer in Clinical Data Management. Between 1990 and 1994 he was Head of Clinical Data Management at Bayer Corp in West Haven, Connecticut, USA. Since 2000 Dr. Pröve was the Head Global Data Management at Bayer Healthcare until November 2013 when he was appointed as Global Strategy and Development Advisor in Global Data Sciences and Analytics.

As a keynote, Dr. Pröve will look at the development of clinical data management from the past to tomorrow, how did it all started over 30 years ago. He will compare the day-to-day work of a data manager in the 80’s versus the life of data manager today.

His presentation will highlight the evolution of data management and make you think about how far data management has travelled in the last few years.
